UAE patent law is governed by Federal Law No. 17 of 2002 on the Organisation and Promotion of Industrial Property Rights, administered by the Industrial Property Department of the Ministry of Economy. The UAE is also a member of:

Patentability Criteria In The UAE

To be patentable in the UAE, an invention must satisfy three cumulative requirements:
